May 26th, 20172013. More gravitas than the 2012. Floral aromatics give way to red fruit salad. A sip is dense and sappy. There's a lot of wine in this bottle.

May 26th, 2016A pricier montepulciano (>$20) and boy, it was woodier than I’d expect. Lots of vanilla, oak, and tobacco. Up front it tasted really cedary. After it opened up a bit, current and raspberry comes thru. Full bodied, tannic, very dry, almost like a California cab. Not a bad wine, just not what I’d expect.

Nov 17th, 2023Ripe, juicy fruit, big and bold, grippy and vibrant, some rough edges but really good.

May 19th, 2023Well worthwhile. Dark, full bodied. Could be a like smoother and drier.

Oct 6th, 2020Bright cherry with slight fizz on the finish. Perfect with a slight chill, on its own or with a farm to table meal. Drink it now, drink it when you can and save a bottle for those days when you deserve it.
