Saldo Red Blend

New blend from the Prisoner Wine Co. Very Dense. Petite Sirah, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. I initially liked the label better than the wine - the flavor components just didn’t seem to really integrate all that well - except a day later this wine found its balance. So you really want to decant like crazy to fully enjoy this bottle.

Actually a blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah, Cab and Zin. This wine is extremely dark with notes on the nose of black cherry, anise, smoke and spice. The palate is rich and dark. Blackberry, licorice, allspice, cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is not too long, but it is full of sweet oak spice while it's there. The tannins are a bit toothy until it has been poured for a while.

Full body with a lovely taste of berries! Good wine to cuddle up with a book or movie, and great to share with a friend. It’s a good “vibing” wine.

Definitely needs some time to loosen up. I look forward to watching it develop.

Prisoner shizz, you know fat alcohol, jammy. Same. Not a fan but I buy it always expecting something else.

Dry and a little too bitter for me with earthy cedar and licorice
