Well balanced with acidity, fine soft tannins, long finish ending with oak and spice. Good now and short term aging benefit! Nice value!

Apr 9th, 2023This is the 2019 The Hess Collection Allomi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Sirah, 5% Malbec, 4% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, chocolate, spice, nlack pepper and earth.
On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, black currant, chocolate, pepper, spice, some oak and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium to medium +fine tannins that leaves you with a medium to long dark fruit graphite finish. Enjoy your weekend and please be safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Sep 23rd, 2020Here is a great Napa Cabernet for my Friday's Cabernet fix.
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus, chocolates, spices, pencil lead, black pepper, leather, earth and metals.
Full bodied and rich, with medium acidity and nice legs
Dry on the palate and fruity, with blackberries, sweet cherries, black currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, tobacco, pencil lead, peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates and mocha.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a great Cabernet from Napa Valley. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.
Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Needs an hour to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle and good for parties.
Drinking nicely now and will be good in the next few years.
I paired it with beef tenterloin.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
