Grenache Blanc

A great experience trying this revered South African Grenache Blanc from The Foundry. There’s chamomile, lemon, stone, white peach, marzipan, gorgeous ripe juicy limey acidity, which all smells very Rhône-y. Very elegant on the palate, full bodied with an almost oily texture, juicy acidity and lovely breadth. Somehow this seemed even more intense on the second night. Excellent stuff. Capacity to age? Not sure as it’s so good now, but willing to try...

This wine is nearly perfect. Amazing purity of fruit and great acidity. I’m in search of more. Thanks to Southern Hemisphere Wines in Huntington Beach Ca. for the recommendation.

Very complex and very rich and round but with good minerality. Needs food I think - roast chicken ? Christmas Turkey ??

Fresh fruit Grenache Blanc, with a nice white fruit nose and refreshing summery peach flavors, ending with a lemony finish. A great buy.

Beautiful nose and flavours of nectarine and plum with an extremely good mid-palate, supported by a nice minerality. Good length. Really satisfying. A terrific effort.

2017 from Handford’s. around £16. Very good

Rich, ripe pear fruit. Mid to full bodied. Good acidity. An absolute pleasure.

Delicious white wine from Grenache grapes!

quaffable a bit different but still reminiscent of a sav blanc. flinty, fresh and great for Cape Town rooftops.
