I’m really digging “old” Rosé lately. This 2017 was very fine 2 years ago. It’s still very fine and has put on a little weight and mellowness.

Faint red flowers, strawberry, and raspberry. Low to moderate minus acid.

No corners cut. This is great Rosé. Each vintage, however, needs a full year from harvest to show it’s full qualities. And they drink great for at least 2 more years after that.

This isn’t on trend, but what I wouldn’t give for a stainless-steel version of this glorious juice...

Adore Eyrie, but haven’t loved the rosé since the 2013. Not enough acid to uphold the creaminess, which also dulled the fruit.

4.5 years old and drinking nicely but best at cool room temperature. Full, earthy, rounded.

This Willamette Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir pours a beautiful salmon color and starts with aromas of grapefruit, orange peel and a hint of rose petals. Grapefruit flavors continue through on the palate with an overabundance of sour cherry and a bit of oily minerality. Acidity was a bit overwhelming which kept some of the subtlety of the wine from coming through. Paired well with Vietnamese spring rolls and a Monday night celebration! ($24) [8/13/18]
