Tenuta Vinea Scersce
Nettare Rosso Di Valtellina Nebbiolo
Nice, ripe, light-on-its-feet entry level Valtellina. Translucent color with a little amber. Nose is lots of cherry and crushed stone: think a solid Bourgogne Rouge. Lots of stony, cried cherry fruit and good acids. Nice weekday wine. Thanks to my brother for this one too!

All stone fruits and gravely mineral notes. ++ acidity. Just enough tannins to let you know they’re there. Not really a long finish. This is NOT a budget Barolo but it IS a great Nebbiolo expression.

Jul 16th, 2024Pretty light, great acids, light tannins. Smooth drinking. Lots of cherry, mineral, touch of graphite. All the goodness of high-altitude Valtellina. Translucent ruby, not the brick color nor the tar you’d expect for a Nebbiolo but great. From Main Street Wine & Gourmet, Orleans. 07/01/24

Jul 2nd, 2024Light and bright. Recommended by Jennifer at Lucia. She sold us on the female wine maker doing Nebbiolo in Lombardy. Priced nicely.

Jan 22nd, 2023Translucent, almost orange color; Rose and strawberry nose; Tastes like cherry with stone fruit, some granite, and barely-there tannins plus nice acidity. Honestly a bit too light for my taste, but I can appreciate it nonetheless #hopvwineclub #coronavino

Jan 31st, 2021This might be one of the best wines I’ve had in years ( except when I’m drinking amazing stuff at my brother Tom’s house). Nose is like fragrant roses. Color- very light, almost orange. It just shines over the entire mouth with cherries and gravel. Tannins enough to know they are there- acid to entice the next sip. Just absolutely beautiful. $28 and worth every cent, and more. Why not 10? Perfection is theoretically impossible? I guess a little more earthiness would be nice. Feel like a jerk for even writing that.
