Tenuta Tascante
Buonora Etna Bianco Carricante
Loads of minerality, citrus, tree fruit, underripe apple, anise, fresh cut flowers and great acid. This rocks.

Jan 19th, 2021Tight, zippy, kinetic. Minerality is very intense. Despite feeling a tad stingy and thin for Tascante, this is fine quality and excellent with all manner of seafood.

Jul 8th, 2023Strange aromas & confusing expressions when first opened (dusty library books?), but this wine settled down nicely into a light, refreshing read. Unsweetened cranberry and soft minerality paired with a kiss of baking spices (mostly clove) & a hint of black pepper on the pallet. Really liked it, but it was unexpected.

Jun 19th, 2022Crisp and minerally. Refreshing with decent body and length, but not overly remarkable. Did not hold up well on day 2/3.

Sep 10th, 2020100% Carricante from Sicily. Bright citrus, sea water- tastes like the ocean. Lingering almond notes as it warms. I drank it with Vietnamese food but it’s screaming for fish. $22
