Scaia Paradiso Veneto Red Blend

Concentrated and raisinated. Definitely boozy. Lots of licorice, dried pomegranate seed, black cherry, and currant on the nose. Deep color and flavor on the palate. Not my favorite style of wine, but really delivers some nice complexity and tons of flavor for 15€ in Riva del Garda, Italy.

Dec30-jan 1, 2022. A pleasant surprise! 50% Corvina, 20% Covinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Stewed red fruit, nice complexity. Great everyday wine. Good QpR.

Pretty surprised how enjoyable this was. Not my usual style, but quite delicious. Had some Amarone-like characterics, but also some nice depth and acidity to back it up. High alcohol was mostly hidden in the fruit. Quite nice

Baby Amarone. Previously had the ‘15. Raisins with graphite notes. Great with Loafers and great for 20 bucks.
