Delish #Frappato #Italy #Wine. Haven't had too many of these. Opens up to be delicate and dry. Pungent black licorice nose, some strawberry rhubarb flavor. Heavy, full aromas, yet subtly dry and eye opening. Opened 11/3/17

Part of a delightful mixed case I had put together by Cole Sisson at Doe Bay Wine Co. on Orcas Island, WA. An alluring and tasty example of one of my favorite grapes. Perfumed, elegant, and minerally, with pleasing structure and concentration. At $20 a fair bargain to be sure. 13.5% abv, on the light and sneaky side.
