I went all-in on the -15s and -16th so my supply of -14s is limited. This one a winner! đ„

Medium Ruby with fragrant berry fruit, spice and floral notes. On the palate red berry flavors, with licorice, spice, pepper and earthy mineral feel. Fine soft tannins, medium+ savory finish ending with a mushroom cedar and mineral character. Nice! Good now!

Jun 9th, 2018The first whiff reveals an elegant nose of small red cherries, spices, wildflowers, tea, and strong mineral notes; structure is robust (alc on high side, tannins fine, acid high) but with finess; the finish is long with a moderately oaked touch. Likeylikey! But way too young, this great -10 vintage will probably need a decade more to come out. The -10 Silvio Nardi and Col d'Orcia are more evolved and full-bodied, this one lighter and more elegant.

The wine is full-bodied with high acidity, fine tannins and dried herbs, leather and tobacco on a long chewy finish. Tasting Sample.
