After being sick for several days I didn’t want to waste a good wine on a sore throat and stuffy nose! 🤧 I’m so glad I waited. 49% Primitivo (my favorite) 51% Aglianico (something new for me). A medium bodied wine, deep ruby red in color. Notes of black cherry and slightly tannic. Paired with lemon pepper salmon with a creamy dill sauce.

Really drinkable red; a bit harsh at first but let it breathe for 10 minutes and it had delicious ripe red fruit flavor

Drinking again after 2 months. Very similar. Fruity (dark fruits) and needs something sharp to balance it out. Hint of vanilla.

STWC. Red fruits. Cherries strawberry and cassis aroma. Hint of chocolate. Taste: sharp fruit on tip with dusty cocoa flavours. Lovely integrated tannins. I must try more aglianico.
