Lovely wine. Seems a little short at first the but with food it grows into something special.

Needed time to open but beautiful nose of baking spices, medium weighted and showed plum and candied bright red cherry.

One of the best value wines I think I’ve had, period. For under $30 this is an incredible Chianti Classico. Red fruit aromas positively leap from the glass. Tannins are definitely there but this manages to stay quite refined almost and delivers really beautiful fruit. The finish is lifting with great acid and a hint of menthol. Really delicious, need to find more.

The 2018 Chianti Classico is full of character. A dollop (10%) of whole clusters add striking aromatic presence to the Sangiovese fruit. Deceptive in its mid-weight style, the Classico delivers tons of punchiness and flavor intensity, with the structure to develop beautifully in bottle for many years to come. The 2018 spent a whopping two months on the skins and was aged for 18 months in stainless steel and cement. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2021)

Continues to be an excellent value Chianti Classico from Radda. High toned, great fruit / acid / earth balance. Excellent with food off the grill with a bit of a chill.

Damien from B’s recommended this puppy. It’s good but not my fav. Having it with fish spinach and quinoa so perhaps not the best pairing. It has that ttt ttt feel on the area where a mouth guard wouldn’t touch. Still good.
