Similar to a great white Bordeaux, excellent viscousiry, liquid mineral and herbs

Fascinating with bright lemon lime citrus fruit, followed by a creamy meringue of underripe papaya. A mouthfeel reminiscent of Bordeaux Blanc. The Viognier has given this some weight.

Who could resist a white from Ornellaia? Not me. They said there’s some Viognier in here with the SB and that makes sense. The exotic fruit surrounded a core of citrus and white floral elements. Nice.

The estate's 2015 Poggio alle Gazze is a very pretty, supple white to drink now and over the next few years while the orchard fruit, lime and floral notes retain a measure of brightness. The 2015 has a degree of mid-palate texture, richness and exoticism that is not typical of recent editions of this wine. Some of that may be attributable to the higher percentage of Viognier in 2015. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2018)

Pre-2001 this used to be fresh zesty Marlborough style. Now a rich oaky exciting Sauvignon/Viognier/Vermentino.

Racy acidity, coupled with jasmine flowers (thank you, Viognier). Grilled seafood for breakfast? Why not!

Creamy and honeyed, fleshy fruit and viscous mouth feel. A slightly cloying sweetness but still enough lift to be enjoyable. Leans a lot more towards viognier than SB.
