Nice dark red color. Very complex with lots of balsamic aromas such as licorice, peppermint, wet soil. Round and equilibrated. Very long finish.

Smells "classy" with ripe plums, dark berries set amongst some high quality cedar oak and a touch of floral and greenery coming through too. Quite plush on the palate, with the structural components well integrated, it's just about good to go now but will do well in the cellar too. The sort of wine that would appeal to the majority.

Axel's first vintage. At a "cool vintage" tasting. Cool meaning low temp.

Drinking beautifully. Needed time to open up in the glass but by the end of the meal it really came through.
