The 2021 Rosato Etna impresses with a mix of savory and sweet as lime zest and wet stone aromas give way to crushed green apples. It's round and pliant with zesty acidity to balance and crisp mineral-tinged orchard fruits. This finishes remarkably fresh and buzzing with residual tension. Green citrus notes slowly fade. Youthful exuberance recedes a touch with a decant, but this wine has some growth ahead. Great texture and expressive nose, tannins will resolve with a touch of time and will only up the score. Red fruit but spicy, good salty notes on the palate and developing length of over a minute. Just entering the window but more is coming. I’d expect the next bottle to be even better.

Light salmon color with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and citrus notes. On the palate flavors of peach and strawberry with lemon citrus, floral and herb notes. Medium dry finish, soft tannins ending with fruit and herb mineral notes. Drink now while it’s fresh.

Pale onion-peel pink. Delicately fruity and floral aromas of jasmine, honyesuckle, redcurrant, gooseberry and minerals. Bright and crisp, this is a paragon of balance and delicacy. Lovely stuff. 100% Nerello Mascalese. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, June 2018)

Oct 4th, 2017The smiling guy above indicates my positive feeling when tasting this lovely, elegant and wonderfully light-bodied rosé wine. I only rarely drink rosé, but this appealed to me. 87/100 p, but I will buy more of this charming creature.

Rather disappointing... virtually no nose. Selling in NY at Marta for $18 a glass ... expected something good at that price.
