Blend of blend of 60% Carricante, 25% Catarratto, 10% Grecanico and 5% Minnella, aged in French oak for 10 months. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits adding honeysuckle blossom. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and lemon citrus with creamy vanilla wrapped in generous acidity, long finish ending with wet stone minerality. Nice!

Honeyed florals, candied ginger, fennel and crushed green apples form a spicy, inviting bouquet as the 2023 Etna Bianco opens in the glass. Ripe orchard fruit plays against a core of salty minerals and savory spices. The 2023 tapers off perfumed and long, leaving a pleasantly sour citrus tinge. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024)

Vintage 2018 | always a challenging choice, needs aeration to reveal its bouquet of minerals and vulcanic soil, citrus in balanced taste. Paired with salmon. At hotel Hohenzollern at Bad Neuenahr.

High acidity. In your face. Tamed with food.
