Alluring. Redolent of crushed morello cherry, black raspberry, blood orange, mint, singed herbs, camphor, cinnamon, crushed flowers, baked earth and volcanics. The oak is there, I’d like to see a little less though. There’s an umami undertone that I find really intriguing. The level of extract makes for a pleasant mouthful but never approaches being heavy handed or clumsy, its got an ease about it. Tannins are persistent but very detailed. Gorgeous wine

The palate also features strawberries, raspberries, orange and fresh herbs. Hint of Smokey tar on the finish. Medium body and tannins. Beautifully elegant and well crafted. Wonderfully consistent vintage to vintage. Thank you for opening this one, Ron B!
