Heady black cherry and a hint of cedar aroma. Hinted at a bite on first sip that smoothed out before rolling back on the palette. Roll over the tongue suggests even a sweetness that then never materializes, just adds to a complexity of burnished dark fruit softened by a tender silliness on the back side. Contemplative.

Texture makes this wine. Very smooth, dried cherry/ cranberry, good length. Very pleasant.

2008, still too young to drink at that point, tannins not yet bound in perfectly but definitely has got length and strength.
