Consider this an update to my previous tasting. Listen, this is very good. Pop and pour baby Brunello. Will probably improve a little over the next 2-3 years, but damn at 17 bucks a bottle, shipped... Really tough to argue with. Value is perhaps in my top 10 over the past few years.

2010 - decent supermarket wine, since I can no longer be bothered to overthink my wines pre-weekend travel. Also, maybe it's sort of a fun game to discover the random Jensen's gem, or, maybe I'm just jaded. All of the above, most likely. This was decent paired with my Cioppini & Lake Arrowhead air. Exhibited lots of tobacco/cohiba aromas, and was easily guzzled. Tasty.

The 2023 Caparzo Rosso is a gorgeous wine in all respects; eye catching, ruby red/garnet appearance; engaging red fruit aromatics and flavors; nicely balanced and structured with abundant fruit, (Bing Cherries) juicy acidity and soft refined tannins at the lovely satisfying finish. Who needs a full blown Brunello when this Rosso delivers so much pleasure at a fraction of the price.
