Enticing & seductive with spicy, fresh red fruit, with some ripe cherry, a touch of amarena and a fresh, mineral edge. So fresh, lively, inviting.
Light yet luscious on the palate, vibrant juicy cherry acidity. Love the tannins - grippy yet sappy and quite polished.
Cherries & raspberries with a orange peel sidekick. Delicious.
This is a great wine - authentic & so fresh & juicy yet elegant at the same time.
You just gotta love Gredos.

Telmo Rodríguez, the Spanish winemaker, aka the driving winemaker, because of his multiple estates across Spain, produces this Garnacha from Gredos in Castilla y León. A medium-bodied, granat red coloured wine, with red and black berries, but also a second layer of licorice, herbs some tobacco. Very soft tannines and a long aftertaste. Great wine!

Impressive Gredos Garnacha by visionary winemaker Telmo Rodríguez - a crucial figure in Gredos’ recent boom. Back in the 1990s, when most vineyards in the area were being abandoned, Rodríguez, alongside business partner and famous rally driver Carlos Sainz (hence the name Pegaso, inspired by the famous truck brand) started purchasing old vineyards in Cebreros, such as the three plots on slate soils where this wine comes from. Soon, several other winemakers followed suit. Complex, mineral, heavier and warmer than Gredos’ “typical” granite soil Garnachas.

Slightly dusky nose with raspberries and marzipan. Much fresher and lighter in the mouth with more raspberries.
