Bergdistel Smaragd Grüner Veltliner

Crisp with a bit of funk.

Rich opulent vintage (it is Smaragd) but still a core of mouthwatering acidity. Good minerallity with dandelion, slight white pepper and radish. Stone and tree fruits of green and yellow apple, yellow plum and quince.

Pretty nose of quince and chalk. While perhaps lacking a little acidity, this is a solid wine with a rounder mouthfeel than many Grüner. It is killer with grilled chicken.

Spicy and savory

Backend sweetness, turkey gravy. Probably would have been conducive to a bit of aging.

White grape, clean pair and floral nose. On the palate a beautiful waterfall of tart green apples, lychee, white flowers, finish with a lemon rind zest. Unbelievable!

Bone dry, crisp, zesty, cut right through our creamy summer risotto.
