Broad and structured. Perhaps a bit closed at the moment, even with ample air. Lime peel, kiwi, tropics, pollen, sea breeze. Nice tension.

Structured and intense. Youthful notes of lime peel, guava, mango, and papaya with striking acidity. Medium bodied with a mineral spine. One of the best domestic Rieslings I’ve tasted. Don’t hesitate to cellar. Lives up to the hype.

Weight of Alsace with the aroma of Clare Valley. Incredible. This is what Californian wine should be.

Legit Riesling, phenomenal texture, moving along pretty fast in its maturity, lots of petrol, stone, quince, apple, umami.

The rumors are true. California can make a real Riesling. The weight and texture are exquisite. Heavy and silky, the stone fruit and minerality are equally matched on the palate. Made with higher amount of botrytis but you wouldn't guess with how dry it finishes. Touches of petrol, honey, bee pollen, yellow/white flowers after a cold morning rain. Cheers to Tatomer!!

2017 - $28
Some wines knock you off your feet with oddity or innovation, others are so simply well-made, so unabashedly true, and so germain that they come close to perfectly encapsulating an entire genre. To me, this is exactly what American Riesling can and should be. Perfectly poised between power and good style. This balances a smoky, intense, Alsace influence with good ol’ American fruit and the best that we can offer in response to European funk: umami in spades. I adore this wine.
