The first 30 seconds: a fizzing, volatile brew of tomato leaves and sea serpent simmering in V8 juice. After 30 seconds: a fresh, exuberant natty crunk Frappato. This is not your grandpa’s Oldsmobile.

It’s good, but I’ll be honest — I wanted a little more. A little more simple than other Frappatos I’ve had in the same price range.

Fresh with great spice and movement. Drying tannins. Fine complexity and length. Medium weight. Well made. Needs food. #frappato #tami #scicily

The new vintage is even more beautiful than the last. It’s delicate and light bodied, with just a slight sting of acid on the finish… Clean and pure strawberry and rhubarb flavors with a nice sense of mineral and salinity. The wine is fine on it’s own but it really shined when paired with light fluffy fish in a brown butter sauce.

I recommend this to anyone who loves food, italy, pinot noir-ish wines, and natural wine.

intriguing, aromatic, light bodied yet complex with character, a bit reminiscent of a Beaujolais. juicy ripe raspberries, dark red fruit, faint hint of a rose bouquet, pepper. tannins a bit powdery

Med (-) body, bright dark fruit on the nose with hint of rose peddles. Tart cherries with light tannins, lingering currants in the finish
