A step up over the 17. The nose let’s you know you are in rarified air. Superb complexity and such depth. Floral, vanilla extract and superb freshness. Herbal as well. Some citrus peeking through. Tangelo skin and pithy. Huge huge minerals. Confectionary. Ripe. Enormous complexity. Palate is incredible. Deep, juicy and with impressive breadth. Obviously showing younger than the 17 but also has more concentration and purity. Awesome freshness and grip. Terrific fruit, citrus rides on a wave of minerality on the finish. Superb length and clarity. Lovely hint of spice on the finish. Stunning. Even with some air the nose goes krazy and gets so pungent. Insane citrus and depth. So floral. Stunning! Wow that palate is the ultimate rich/fresh combo.

I love this wine. One of the most unique and distinctive Rieslings ever. Massively floral and mineral complexity on the nose. Just outrageous. Melon, citrus, spice, tangelo and so lifted. So pure. Nuanced. Superbly elegant and linear with delicious melon/citrus fruit and great inner mouth florals and an awesome fruit skin quality on the finish. So ethereal and pure. Lots of vim and vigor but also a lovely richness to the texture but never betraying its freshness and vivacity. Superb concentration and structure. Amazing depth here. Truly a brilliant wine. I’m sure this will open up and reveal more but really great on the P and P. Great, delicate and long finish.

What a showing. Superbly mineral nose. Just gorgeous. Herbals as well. So clean and airy. Smells like a Chablis. Leaner than Laible. Green plum. So complex and distinctive. Citrus. A rare white to have that lipstick like intensity I always refer to in red wine. Wow. So deep. So clean. Just a masterful nose. Palate is so complex, so dense, so powerful and so concentrated. Pure as the sky is blue. So so electric, elegant. Just so much going on. The complexity and texture are just top notch. Salty, saline and pure. Awesome acids and terrific structure. This has an unrelenting finish that pushes intense minerals and perfectly ripe and concentrated fruit. Amazing. Fruit comes in more on the finish now. Lime. Oranges. Has sweetness and austerity. None dry wine. But sweetness of fruit and minerals is awesome.

Sick nose. So distinctive. Apricot, iodine, saline, superb minerality. Forest scents. Palate is just breathtaking. Elegant, fresh and huge acids. Dense and deep but so ultra refined. Complex and super juicy and that acid really goes into overdrive on the finish. Terrific mineral complexity just dances on the palate. Gorgeous interplay of fruit and mineral.

Wow. What a wine! Just jumps at you rights on open. Big spice and fruit on the nose. Some limestone as well. Even more spice on the palate. Fruit is lemon lemon zest maybe a hint of apricot. But major dense lemon with petrified lemon minerals on the palate. Very muscular And dense for a citrusy wine. But in a good smart way. Very alive and fresh on the palate. Very distinctive.

The other Baden Riesling I love is liable which is definitely mostly less dense even though Baden is very southern. This is more what I would think a great Baden wine would taste like. Which makes it a must try.

As this opens some brimstone on the nose. Marzipan on the palate. The palate is less obviously dense and more subtly dense.

As this opens more it gets more beautiful. Almost this sweet density. Integrated acids. Wow.
