Chalk. High acid. Austere. Brioche, toasty, exceedingly dry style. Slight savory quality. 9 mo on lees. Gorgeous.

Holy mackerel. Second bottle from Suenen that’s lights out good. Intense, mind-bending notes of pawpaw, yellow and greengage plum, green and golden apple, lemon, walnut, and loads of classic buttered gently toasted brioche scents. Rowdy acid, salty, loads of minerals on the palate, looong finish and fine bead. Compared to the C + C, this seems less made for immediate drinking and likely to benefit from some cellaring. Lights out good. Base ‘16 disgorged ‘19

Base vintage 2013, disgorged Oct 19, 2016, 1 g/l dosage. Nice nosr, showing a touch of leesy notes, followed by loads of citrus and and stone. Fantastic minerality on the palate which screams citrus and slate, a little tense with nervous acidity. Very refreshing finish, but this version could have used a little more time in the bottle.

Best Champagne I have had this year. Explosive, floral, crystalline. Beautiful aromatics. "I want to make this into a perfume". - Gianna

A real eye opening stand-out of the Champagne trip, so amazingly expressive/balanced/pure, all GC BdB, can't get any better than that.
