Oiry Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

2014 base. 2g dosage. 12/06/2017 disgorgment. Pale and light yellow. Aggressive bubbles. I find this wine incredibly hard to describe. Lemon in the nose. Pears and bitter orange peels in the mouth. Lots of chalk and minerality as expected. Even with the low dosage there’s so much sweetness in this champagne. Just lovely.

It was definitely 100% Chardonnay. I wasn’t impressed with the rapid development in the wine. Looked tired, probably a bad cork
