So as promised - second tasting within 2 weeks. Ernst Storm told me this wine is from young vines on clay soil. Dark cherries, minerals, hint black tea, surprisingly complex. I will keep an eye on this Vineyard. It shows great promise!

Explosion of fruit and spice on the nose. Also some flowers. The palate is much more savory with cherries, flowers, some baking spice, but much more forest floor than on the nose. Really great. Can’t wait to see how this evolves.

Needs time. Brawny and a lot of forest. Some big fruit. Didn’t seem integrated but all the pieces seem to be swirling around that it will be better with some more time.

Ok back at the place and last time this was a fave. Today less convinced. Seems too light on its feet. Planted on 2013. Black tea, perhaps plums as they say ….20% Stems. Touch spicy, hint orange zest for folks who like spice in their Pinots it is splendid!

Opening up more. A lot of forest, baking spice, raspberry, cranberry, cherries, tea, earth, long lingering finish. Outstanding!

Needed to decant. Black tea, cherries, baking spices, some apple, long finish that coats the palate. Ongoing cherry, spiced cider, good acidity. Just lovely. This has a very long life ahead of it.

Outstanding! Wonderful nose of dark fruits, baking spices. Palate is plums, tannins, baking spice. Just wonderful right now.
