Very cool surprise. Aged exceptionally well. Not too sweet but just enough in fact the finish was almost dry. Lots of beautiful dried (candied) citrus fruit and forest picked berries with a nose of wet straw. Long and delightful. Very cool and a piece of CA wine history

Tasted on day 2 and not at proper service temp but this was super cool. Honeyed, deep notes of roasted nuts and dried peach, candy cap mushroom, sweet spices, curry.

Can't seem to find a wine from them that I don't enjoy. Perfect balance of sweetness and acidity considering the climate. Beautiful touch of Minerality as well

No score since the cork failed this one. I have had the 1980 in the past few years and it really floored me. Wish this was the case here

Luscious and unctuous but not over the top syrupy. Perfumed and balanced; a delight with food like nuts, cheese and flatbread but also great on its own. Enjoyed the 2018 vintage in Vegas with William and Shari, celebrating our February birthdays. Happy Birthday to us!

Past its prime, cork a bit soggy, probably a bad bottle. Smells like it was once a pretty wine.
