Jul 28th, 2018From the highly acclaimed Domaine A. (Their Cabernet is wonderful). This Pinot has a typical pinot nose with some varnish. Spicy but hollow in the middle palate. Acceptable but a hardish finish.

Excellent. Really no fruit left. Something raw and hard here but otherwise all tertiary brambles forest floor action. Big frame and alcohol showing a touch but not disjointedly.

Beautiful big funky, herbal, plummy nose - a bit of wet hay? Fine tannins fully integrated into round ripe black fruit. Add lots of provencale herb, farmyard, cut grass, and leather. Really good.
