This wine has a rich, golden color. The nose offers a bounty of nice things. Lemons, apricots, almonds and vanilla, all wrapped up in buttery goodness. The palate is earthy, nutty and fruity all at once. The acidity is fresh and the finish long, with a good streak of salinity staying after the sip.

Nose has bruised pear, warm vanilla, carmel poured on pineapple, sweet yellow apple, ripe pineapple, soaked golden raisin, tangerine peel and spring honeysuckle.

Palate has buttered popcorn, butter poached pear, fresh apricot, chamomile tea, (minor) candle wax, medium acidity, mouth-coating viscosity with a long finish; outstanding. This can hold in proper storage until 2022-24.

Last of our Stolpman stash; we purchased this in November 2012.

Burgundy night. Started off with a nice champagne followed by a Cali roussanne to calibrate the palates.

Buttery and rubbery at the same time. Probably slightly past its prime? Strong front palate of toasted butter and wax. Mid palate and finish fade to a faint almond note.

Wow, this is crazy, what a wine, 100% So. Cal. Roussane, very, very good; surprisingly CA had a decent vintage for '08. Wine of the weekend, Sashi Moorman is awesome.

A lovely bottle. If you take your time, it blossoms into something magical halfway through. Move from mineral and acid to something smooth and almost creamy. Fantastic.
