A very good Margaret River Chardonnay. Apples , citrus . A little too much oak for me dominating slightly . But a long finish

Always have preferred Margaret River wines, especially during the Australian Dark Ages. Fresh, direct, not terribly complex...yet honestly made in a sort of late-‘80s white Burgundy vein. #stellabella #margaretriver

Seriously good, edgy, energetic and intense! All this despite 100% malo which imparts a wonderful creamy texture. Oak balance is spot on.

Really clear French oak, great texture and some really zingy apricot.
Just love wine like this when it is young!

⚡️New Release⚡️

This 2016 Chardy is a recent release from the team at Stella Bella in Margaret River and retails for approximately $36. For this Chardonnay Stella Bella focus on Burgundian winemaking methods and use fine grain french oak for maturation.

It's a light yellow on the eye 👀 with a fleck of green. The nose 👃 is creamy and nutty with a distinct floral bouquet and hints of refreshing minerality. While on the palate it has a lovely smooth vanilla oakiness comes through intertwined with flavours of orchard fruits (nectarine, peach 🍑 etc) and a dollop of honey 🍯 It's not in your face, very approachable and I reckon it'd accompany a roast chicken 🍗 wonderfully.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #gifted #tcweekdaywine

Very pleased with this wine! Stone fruit, papaya, florals, almonds, minerals and mild honey and vanilla. 45 min decant. Butter was present on the nose but surprisingly not on palate!
To me this shows more Burgundy in style 👍..appreciate the 13% alc.
Apparently this is
#25 of Wine Enthusiast top 100 of 2021. It also received a rating of 94 from ? Every time I pick up the glass it changes!
