The Investor Napa Valley Red Blend

Very enjoyable blend. Nice structure and constrained fruit. Needs decanting to come to life.

Investor is bound to be a crowd pleaser. Uber fruit forward with dark berries, cherries and plums. Lacks the structure but if you served this to the dinner crowd, it would score big points.

Apr 26th, 2020Very berry with mellow slight sweetness with fruit in the beginning, along with subtle Tulk in the middle and long smoothness after. Great blended.

Big bold lots of oak black fruit and earth. Tannins were a bit harsh. Needs a few years to age

V14. Appealing bacon and cedar nose. Round black cherry and black berry fruits. Dry earthy finish. Very nice.

May 12th, 2019Classic Napa red through and through. Big dark fruit, esp, plum, dark cherry, and blueberry come through. Well balanced tannins and acid, with just enough oak and tobacco notes to round it out. Really fantastic.

I've had this before, but don't remember it being this enjoyable. Deep purple in the glass shiny and bright with slow sleek legs. Big black fruit on the nose upon open (blueberries and blackberries) but over an hour they've been met with white pepper and beets and perhaps another root that I'm not versed with. This medium plus bodied wine is very well balanced. It paired perfectly with 3 different cuts of beef--tenderloin, strip, and ribeye. The tannins are mellow to medium, and there is very little in terms of acidity. I'd say this is ready to drink and I may buy more of the 14 now. It's a great steak wine.
