Blend of 37% Merlot, 30% Petite Sirah, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Malbec, aged for 20 months (Petite Sirah in American Oak-25% new) & (Bordeaux varieties in French oak 35% new), deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits, spice and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and currants with baking spice, vanilla oak and cacao notes. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, floral, cacao and vanilla oak. Tasting well now, good for another 5+ years in cellar.

Solid blend, smooth and well balanced. Initially rated at 90 Pts, I upgraded 10/3/20. With enough air this wine is outstanding. Dry with grippy tannins, but wonderful red fruit, cassis, and hints of tobacco flavors. Very enjoyable watching this wine evolve.

Very enjoyable blend. Nice structure and constrained fruit. Needs decanting to come to life.

This is big, tannic, and young. I would love to see this in ten years. Nose is so damn dusty. Massive, immutable, axiomatic, impossible-to-ignore eucalyptus and mint. Overwhelming tannin. Cooling menthol effect. Humming acid. With the acid on the side of the tongue, an automotive note like petroleum or rubber. Dusty, sun baked raisin. Chalky texture. Gorgeous old world style California wine, before over extraction took over.

Nose of sweetness, plum, currants, and a hint of cedar. Taste of sweetness, dry tannins, meaty, grassy, herby, fruity and low acidity. Aftertaste is jammy with tea note and spiced but doesn't linger too long. Taste exhibits more complexity than the nose.

This is gnarly, but in a good way. Nose and palate displays brambly fruits. Medium body and weight, with grippy tannins. Works well with an uncomplicated burger - Capital Grille.

Steak night & wedding planning with Lucas & David. This wine was amazing - can't imagine if we had given it a few more years.....
