Stags' Leap Winery
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Very nicely aged balanced NAPA Cab with the varietal characteristics expounded by reviewers. Great match for rib roast by Wilson.

Nov 17th, 2021Was lucky enough to be invited over to a friends house one night for wine. Was really surprised when she brought out this bottle of wine. Her mother-in-law had passed away and had a pretty good selection of wines left over. Should have decanted but I was just happy to get a glass. Full of dark berries on the nose. Had a beautiful velvety texture.

Aug 17th, 2015With Tim as my Sous Chef, together we made an amazing Valentine's dinner. Grass-fed filet mignon, sautéed Bok Choy, and steamed artichokes. Paired with a couple treasures from my cellar. 1998 Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf du Pape (lost its fruit 😔), but then we opened a 1997 Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon-wow!! Beautifully aged, silky tannins, balanced acidity, lush berry fruit and a lovely finish. Boy are we spoiled! P. S. I only paid $35.95 for it back in 2001!
