Estate Grown Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Napa getting some credit again in my book for simple and just delicious.

Good Napa cab that isn’t over the top saturated and priced really well.

Black currant and blackberry compote, a little vanilla, and anise in the aromas. Nice medium body and rich flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, and jam. Not too big and acidic, medium low tannins. Not a ton of aging potential but drinkable now for probably just a few more years.

This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing black fruits with chocolates, cola, light vegetables, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

Might need a few years in the bottle to mature properly

Aged for 19 months in French oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

In love. Berry cobbler nose, blackberry compote. Juicy fruity palate to match. Love.

Deep dark oaky and blackberry nose. Dark and rich in deep purply red color. Red raspberry nose on the end. Red fruit ripen throughout the palate. Big bold long finish

For the money, this is a pretty darned good Napa CS. It’s not overblown with oak, nor is it confected. Red currants, tobacco and just a touch of vanilla. IMO, this was a lot more enjoyable than the 2013 Jordan I tried the night before.

Really jammy but not too sweet right out the door. The finish is nice. Also it's no tannin on finish. Very nice wine for price. Everyone liked it and said so without prompting the question.

Blackberry, mint and spice presents warmly on the palette supported by cedar, smoke and supple tannins. A delicious treat after a 30 min decant! Could stand to age another few years.

Bursting with berry fruit on the aroma! Not overly complex just yummy!
