Beautifully balanced yet identifiably Ozzie. Nose has pure sweet cassis and black raspberry fruit, a nice underlying gravelly minerality, and a modest sweet oak note. No jamminess at all in the mouth. Even a tad on the leaner side. Great acidity and a fairly long, pure finish. Food-flexible. Great value at $15.

Fantastic nose. Deep ripe berries, loads of stony minerals, and a caramel note. You can actually smell the acidity this wine has as well, and that acidity carries through on the surprisingly lean, bone dry palate. Soft mouthfeel. Finish is acids and minerals. It was nice with our pasta with a meat sauce.

Feb 15th, 2016Color of shades of purple with a hint of bloody red. Nose is pretty decent with cocoa, cherry, a bit dried strawberries. Oak, tobacco leaves, and mineral come in the 2nd waves. Taste is oaky, subtle sweetness from cherry jam, some leather, some balsamic vinegar, and mineral note. Aftertaste follows similar note with a bit tinkling sensation and peppery. Low tannins. A light petit Syrah with good and atypical structure.

Apr 7th, 2018#garyveewineclub nice Shiraz. Fruit-forward with dense blackberry and blueberry, but nice savory notes of black pepper and herbs play a supporting role with cocoa and vanilla.

Mar 20th, 2018Menthol tickles the nose. Beautiful, mouth- coating blackberry/ raspberry with some solid tannins. Doesn't finish as well as I'd like, but a very nice Shiraz and great for the price. This is not a fruit bomb, but is a fruity wine.

Jun 29th, 2017Nose of marine engine oil and cardamom. Medium bodied, rich wine. Rather light on alcohol, this is not a huge Shiraz. Sour flavor with a little must. Different. I like it.
