Dark fruits, big structure, but a little mushroom underneath, this is from the top portion of the old Seven Springs vineyard (the lower portion was purchased by Evening Land after the owners divorced in the late 1990s), lingering finish, but not at the top level of Seven Springs/Anden Pinot Noirs I’ve drank over the years.

Polarizing...Anden is the top of the hill at Seven Springs Vineyard, Evening Land’s estate site. The 05 would have been the original planting’s from 84 put in by the McDonalds.

A good Pinot Noir but with an unexpected balance of fruit and spice, although more tannins than I prefer.

This was a bruiser in its youth and still is. Evolved brick color; quite dark. Deep Black cherry nose and viscous in the mouth. Hard tannins push it out of balance though...
