It’s only OK - almost structureless. I was hoping for life changing and it was closer to a life saver.

Oh my gosh, this wine is next level! Decanted for 6 hours and paired with some ribeye steaks. Dare I say match made in heaven!?

1/24 This 1995 lost some of its power and it needed a solid hour for the acidity to blow off but in the end it was soft and complex. Wish i had it 10 years ago. 84

At 12+ years old, a mellow Cabernet with a hint of oak. Decanted it quickly assumes a balanced profile. February 2023.

1997 vintage. Decanted from magnum and first tasted after open for 4 hours. Great full color still along with light body. Plenty of delicate fruit cradled by focus and concentration. If from a standard 750ml format, likely a run of 3-4 more years at this point of drinking pleasure before a drop-off in the experience.

Needed a wine to follow up the Patrimony, so we reached for some age and a tested blockbuster. Pulled the Spottswoode. Another wine deserving of its 100 point rating! So much finesse, harmony and depth of finish!
