Basically a Cote du Rhône from the Sierra foothills. This surprised me. Very very well-made and tasty wine. Not overripe, red fruit gets a bit candied with air, has some elegance. +1 point for great QPR (by California standards anyway)

High acidity and low fruitiness. Would have been better with food.
