This is a wonderful Grenache from Santa Barbara County.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity.
Showing black fruits with wood, earth, spices, light vanilla, licorice, tobacco, chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.
Dry on the palate with a great mouthfeel. Good by itself or with food.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, so be patient. Showing a great nose once it opens up.
This Single Vineyard Grenache is nicely balanced with nice complexity.
Wine Enthusiasts 94 points.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 to 5 years.
15.2% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
$50.

Cool bottle of wine, higher in acid than most from the area, and a great pairing with the heavy creamy pasta I had tonight (trust me new world Syrah with cream, peas and pancheta is amazing) true blue fruit and Graham. fun one to try

Impressed. This is similar to Herman story in style, but this seems to have way more acidity. Clove, cocoa powder, black tea, then mid palate you get this burst of tart fruit and almost tropical for a sec before coming back to tobacco, dark chocolate, cherries, berry jam. What a huge and awesome wine. Will try more site wines.
