Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!

Loved our visit here. Gorgeous property & wines. Bigger style SB with explosive stone fruit & tropical fruit aromatics. Not quite as round and rich as Aesthete or Arkenstone, but very similar. Nice acidity with pronounced notes of honeyed passion fruit & white peach.

Second time trying this bottling and it has gained some nice complexity with the additional bottle age. A light greenish pale yellow. Love the layers on the nose with tons of tropical and citrus fruits. Even undertones of white floral notes. Moderate acidity (6.5/10) and full bodied with a texture almost of tannins. Bright and vibrant with tons of fruits, especially citrus and stone fruits. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2020.

13' Light pale in color. Zesty citrus flavors of tart lemons & orange peel. Wrapped in quite a bit of acid. This SB tasted much better the second hour. Which I tend to believe will taste beautifully in 6 months+. We thoroughly enjoyed it after warming up & opened up the 2nd hour.

Past it’s prime. A bit flat. But ok. Peach. Missing the spring in its step. Acidity almost gone. Still drinkable though.
