Five single-vineyard CA Pinots vs 5 Burgs: Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanee + three 1er Crus Beaunes. All 2005s. Rob Jensen, owner, and Sue Ryan, lead wine educator at Testarossa joined our group for the tasting. This Siduri made a strong showing at #4.

Cuando ya sabes de Pinot Noir este debería de ser el siguiente paso. Siduri kills it!

Sipping Fine Wine

Pinot Noir lovers, Adam and Dianna Lee, founded Siduri in 1994, producing only four and a half barrels of Pinot Noir that first vintage. Now they make over 10,000 cases of Pinot Noir. An elegant wine with dark berry aromas adding notes of floral spice. Palate has juicy blackberry and raspberry flavors, adding herb spice, soft but with a kick. Fine tannins, lingering finish ending with mineral character. Very nice!

A very rich Pinot from the Santa Rita Hills area. Still retains the characteristics that keep me drinking wines from that area.

Soft candied cherry, rhubarb, cough drop. Good mid palate and lasting finish. Quite delicious on its own more than with food.

Very California. On the riper, dark cherry, plush side of Pinot Noir. Nicely done if you like that style. Would be a great barbecue wine. +1 point for the screw cap

Juicy fresh blackberry, stewed figs and plum, and maybe even a kick of menthol cigarettes.

Burnt sugar, raspberry, and dark cherry on the nose. Silky smooth on the palate with bing cherry, spice, and oak. This robust pinot starts strong and finishes even stronger with sizzling acid, tart fruit, and the return of burnt sugar. Liquid candy.
