Finger Lakes Dry Riesling

This is the *Dry* Riesling 2002 and at 23 years it’s still very good. Mature for sure but with its faculties intact. There’s a pretty big buzz about Finger Lakes Riesling these days but excellent wines were made there way back then and earlier as well.

I love aged Riesling but this little guy is on his last leg

My first Finger Lakes Riesling and I’m super impressed. Plush tree fruit and sweet citrus with some steely minerality. Juicy med+ acid balanced with a touch of RS make this quite quaffable.

Orange marmalade, hay, line zest on the finish.

I thought it was an extremely good riesling, classic petrol but just a really good wine

This is the dry Riesling. Quite good. Tropical fruits etc, some acid. Nice example of a simple but enjoyable FLX Riesling.

Quite lemony. Round mouthfeel, fresh peach. Low alcohol. Lovely.

Nice, crisp Riesling with citrus notes. Like the dryness along with a good chocolate

Fine. Sweeter than I'd like.

Maybe you never go back home, but you can drink some good local stuff when you are there!
