This has matured into a big, ok huge, full throttle mouthful of CA Cabernet. Plum, cassis, fig paste, espresso and chocolate. Full mouthfeel and velvety finish. Absolutely requires a grilled bone in rib-eye.

Dark, mineral, savory, tannic black berries. Aromatic nose.

This is really coming along nicely. It has shredded it’s harsh tannins and has blossomed into a beauty. Blackberry is the predominant berry fruit, with a hint of plums. Cocoa, espresso, and a nice dusty note. Very good.

Michael was nice enough to open a 14.

This is in a shutdown phase and has showed much better upon release.

The fruits are a nice mix of black and lean more red. It’s ripe and bright. Amazing florals & acidity. Great balance always with Seven Stones. Blackberries, dark cherries, cherries, strawberries w/ shades of blueberries. Cola, soft soils and volcanics. Bright red florals and beautiful finish and acidity.

The 15 is starting to round out and show even more elegance.

Look up smooth in the dictionary and you’ll find this label.

The beauty of this lush, ripe fruit stuns. Blackberries, dark cherries, strawberries, caramel, milk chocolate, layered baking spices, soft, dark spice with a shade of heat, nice dry earth, soft leather, dry stones, fresh tobacco with a hint of ash, mint, dry herbs, bright red & dark florals. Great acidity and length/polish for days.

Nice seeing Micheal (GM left photo again).

The best vintage of the 13, 14, 15, 16 vintages I’ve had.

The fruit is stunning. Ripe, ruby, lush yet restrained. The acidity is perfect. Blackberries, strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, black plum, melted chocolate, beautiful, baking spices, coffee, sweet, soft tarriness, diamond, fine earth and minerals, bright blue, red & purple florals. Acidy is perfect. The structure, tension, length and balance are stunning this early. The well balanced and polish finish is gorgeous and persists nicely.

07’ Seven Stone. Still quite purple in color. Blackberry, blueberry & jam flavors, dark chocolate, tea. This wine is still rather rich & dense. Have to say it has a elegance about it. This could possibly be in it’s prime for another decade. We shall see.
Nothing quite like it. Reminds me of a combination of Lail Mole Hill & Robert Keenan Reserve 😳
