Serafin Père et Fils
Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir
Still very very young, just showing a bit fine leather notes, tannins are still agressive, Serafin’s wines need serious long time to mature.

Jun 5th, 2014We had the 2008 Vintage on 1/14-15/23. The vintage was rated a 89. This is truly Burgundian. The bouquet has strawberry and mushrooms. Add raspberry, spice and minerality to those on the palate. Medium bodied, tannins smoothed out. Very good and certainly different from an American PN.

Nov 22nd, 2017With 2 hours in the decanter shows primary red fruit, black fruit particularly at the core and a finish with tobacco notes. It drinks more like a Premier Cru than a Grand Cru
