This has developed nicely. Still full on flavor-town but has shed some of the clumsy fruit.

Surprised at how well this is holding up! Cocoa dusted dates, old graham cracker, roasted cranberry aromatics; very little acidity but structure is very much in tact; clay covered blackberry finish.

A bit nervous when I pulled the cork. It’s fine.
Decant is still a must. The acidity dissipated after an hour.
Color- Nose- palate - finish. Pretty aromas of bright cherry & blackberry are accented by toastiness from the French oak.
The elegant aromatics give way to fruit flavors of MORE big Cherry, plum skins, ripe raspberries 👍,dusty nutmeg in a silky, seamless textures. While the fruit forward characteristics are quite noticeable...(bit short on the back of the palate)
Hard to put down the glass though!

Sultry. 2004 was silky after open about 20-25 minutes. Awesome wine. Just needed a minute to catch her breath.

Perfume nose. Beautiful float across the tongue wine. Amazing dark cherry and glossiness. Incredible.
