Smells of dark berry jam.

Dried berry dominate this wine, black berry, touched of spice, wild acidity, and tight fruit.
A bit of prunish tannins bring up the rear.
This needs a couple of year to open to what it needs to be. Setting the rest aside.

Rich dark, nice tannins hint of fish. But that’s from the fish I was eating.

The balance on this wine is remarkable. Nose has sappy, plum-tinged ripe cherry, graham cracker, and moist gravel. In the mouth it is rich but at the same time restrained. Intense dry extract completely hiding any perception of alcohol. Balanced acids and light super-fine tannins. Superb wine.

Back cherry, loamy fragrance lifts the fragrance to hypnotic contemplation; upon tasting the wine repeats the sensation with fleshy tannins and modest acidity. Perhaps a great example of Ribbon Ridge attributes; and evokes the best qualities of Pommard.

Lots of red fruit, some spice that doesn’t overpower, licorice, cherry, plum. Great finish. Day 2 was the better experience with this one so there definitely is some time to go on this. Good show

Neighbors came over for wine and cheese. A treat on an early spring evening.
