May 9th, 2015This is utterly fantastic. One of the best wines I've had from Schramsberg. Gorgeously mineral with bits of salty brioche.

Feb 23rd, 2020The 2008 Brut Hyde has bursting aromas of fresh grapefruit and lime, followed by juicy pineapple. The fruitful nose is complemented by notes of warm bread dough and almond. On the palate, there are flavors of tangerine, lemon drop and kisses of under-ripe red berry. The wine finishes with elegant vitality, which is crisp, long and refreshing.
On a personal note, I drank the whole bottle in one sitting with some stale Skinny Pop last night and I feel great today! Cellar trackers says it was last due back in 2017 but this hardly tasted past peak. Easily my favorite sparkler from Hyde in Carneros when I usually prefer the Blanc de Blancs.
Varietal Composition: 77% Chardonnay, 23% Pinot noir
Barrel Fermentation: 47%
Alcohol: 12.5%
Suggested Retail: $90
