Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Very punchy blackcurrant. This is BIG. I think a bit of a waste of a great vineyard.

July 4th Friday was a total blowout! Killer bottles one after another. Here are just a few of the bottles we all enjoyed!

This was silly good. Youthful. Wouldn’t have thought it was 11yrs old. Enjoyed alongside a ‘12 T6 and an ‘11 Old Sparky, this showed the most harmony of all the fruit working together. Dark red and black fruits, with more potpourri than the others. Dusty and full of baking spices. What stood out here is that no one note took over...all parts working effortlessly.

Love this vintage. Decanted for 4hrs and really improved and mellowed with air. A beast of a wine that should develop well.

Blue fruit on the nose soft and summer berries dark but elegant yum soft earthy alcohol is not deceptively not prevalent.

Seamless and elegant.

Not my bag. But interesting.

Loaded with dark fruit, with violets and plum/prune in the mix. Cedar and mild spices. Pleasing velvet tannins, and a wonderful lingering finish. Worth trying again in 5-10 yrs just to see what turns up.

Total power house....in a very good way
