Rheingau Spätlese Riesling

Nicely integrated ripe Riesling. Tropical fruits, smooth acids. Lemon zest bitters. Don’t cool it back too far, with a warmer temp it gives more.

Spicy botrytis, Xmas spices, dried apricots, lush.

The better stuff. Ripe apple, juicy pineapple. Acidity has gone down a noch. A hint of minerals and herbs.

Still has plenty of life and complexity. Killed it with the spicy food.

Medium lemon color. Aromas and flavors of lemongrass, petrol, honey, and beeswax. Med + acidity, medium finish.

Textbook Rheingau Spatlese

Apricot, honey, lemongrass, petrol. Sweetness is balanced with nice acidity.

Clear , deep gold colour. Again an oxidative character giving some medicinal notes. Medium sweet with low alcohol of 8%. Pineapple notes with some pepper and dried apricots. Enough acid to carry on but i would drink now.

Light golden in color.

On the nose, lemon, passion fruit, kiwi, white flowers, light diesel.

Full bodied and crisp when properly chilled.

Semi sweet on the palate with lime, grapefruit, peach, citrus, and even some diesel (but only when it warmed up).

Long finish with mouth watering acidity that balances out the sweetness.

Nice and refreshing, for those who do not like a dry Riesling.

This wine is a marvel of German hygiene and precision.
