Gelblack Feinherb Riesling

2018 vintage. More overt oak notes than one normally encounters with the variety, manifesting as blanched almond, birch, and less-than-effusive fruitiness. Lemon, green and golden apple, green grape, chamomile, almond blossom, green plum, mineral. Good length and the faintest whisper of sweetness. True to type and good entry-level introduction to an historic estate.

Pear, apple, lemon curd, wet river rock, hay and hints of white peach. Great acidity and balance.

Tropical fruit followed by herbs and minerals. Somewhere between dry and off dry.

Great racy acidity and a long finish!

Slight citrus, little bit of chalk, lotta acid, lotta minerality. Awwwww yea.

Pale straw to clear in color. On the nose a perfume of honey, apricot, nectarine, a burst of slate and touch of petrol. On the palate is a nice bit of acid balanced with a touch of residual sugar. The wine glides through the middle and finishes with green apples, melon and honeysuckle. Quite a lovely wine that isn't too loud, where the low mid and highs are nuanced for your tasting pleasure.
